Allen
Biography:
Jennifer Allen holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas and is a Registered Nurse. She also attended Cleveland Chiropractic College before taking on motherhood. Jennifer has also taught Anatomy and Physiololgy to students at Butler County Community College. Jennifer is currently a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom to her two boys, Jake and Jared. Jennifer is married to Dr. Kevin Allen.
Vicky
Atkinson
Biography:
Vicky holds a BS degree from St. Mary of the Plains College in Elementary Education with minors in Social Studies and English. She taught in the Wichita Public Schools before children and has taught for 12 years in a homschool co-op as well as homechooling her three daughters. Vicky’s husband, Phil, is an instrumental music teacher in the Renwick school district and their family attends West Evangelical Free Church.

Biography:
Amy has a degree in Physical Education from Missouri State University. She has home schooled her 5 children the last 17 years. Amy is married to Paul, who works at Central Christian Church as Executive Director of His Helping Hands.

Biography:
Felicia has a BS in Art and Math Education from Friends University. Felicia enjoyed starting an art program in the Rose Hill public schools, teaching Pre-K through sixth grade for 10 years before becoming a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. Felicia and her husband Randy have three daughters, and are members of Central Christian Church.

Biography:
Mother of 3 boys and wife of David. Started sewing at the age of 12 and have sewed since. Sewed for interior decorator, doing curtains, pillows, cushions,etc. for 20 years. Also have a degree in elementary education and taught preschool for 4 years at a Christian school in Colo. Spgs.
Rachel
Grebe
Biography:
Rachel Grebe holds B.A. degrees in Psychology and German from Kansas State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the KSU Honors Program. She is blessed with three wonderful daughters, whom she has joyfully taught at home since 2002. In her "former life", she enjoyed singing in choirs, performing in musicals, and teaching preschool for the U.S. Army and Central Christian Academy Preschool. She has been happily married to Dieter for almost 20 years, and loves reading, gardening, and strength training. The family attends Heartland Community Church.
Wendy
Hoover
Biography:
Wendy Hoover- She is a graduate of Liberty University with a B.S. in General Studies and she also obtained her Teacher's License for Elementary Education. Wendy has taught various age groups in private school/church settings for five years and has been homeschooling for 3 years. She began learning Sign Language as a sophomore in high school and furthered her education in Deaf History, Interpreting, and ASL at Cowley County Community College. She has used her signing skills in volunteer and professional capacities, some of which include interpreting for church services and interpreting for deaf students in college classes. Wendy feels that sign language can also be used as a beautiful visual expression of worship when partnered with music. Jonathan and Wendy have been married for nine years and have two beautiful girls, Cheyenne and Summer. They attend NewSpring Church where Jonathan is the Associate Pastor and Couples Pastor.

Biography:
Jennifer graduated from Fort Hays State University as a registered nurse with her Bachelor of Science degree. After on of her children was diagnosed with severe dyslexia, she took the Master's level courses necessary to become a Reading Language Therapist, equipped to tutor dyslexic children in reading, writing, and grammar. Using the scientifically proven Alphabetic Phonics program based on the Orton-Gillingham multisensory method, Jennifer witnessed the dramatic difference tutoring made for students. In response to requests from parents, she began to develop "grammar to writing" classes to benefit the home school community. Jennifer is marrried to Randy and home schooled their three daughters from pre-school to 8th grade. The family attends Evangel Presbyterian Church, PCA, where Jennifer serves in music and as a Bible study teacher
Jaxon
Keimig
Biography:
Jaxon began doing pottery as a student at West High School in Wichita. He has continued, as time permitted, through the years. February 1, 2010, he retired from Sara Lee Bread Company, and began doing pottery as a full-time hobby/career. Jaxon took several classes in pottery at the Wichita Center for the Arts, under Dan Gegen. He has taught classes to children and adults for the past 4 years, as well as making things from clay for himself, family, and friends. He and his wife, Shirley who is also retired, live 4 miles north of Douglass, KS.

Biography:
In 2009, J retired from a long career in computer programming. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Math from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He enjoys traveling as well as staying home doing things with his family, which includes his 14 grandchildren. He also enjoys watching Shocker baseball, NCAA football and basketball as well as playing chess. He has taught most of his grandchildren how to play the game of chess simply by playing with them. He is looking forward to the challenge of teaching chess in the classroom. J and his wife, Marilyn, have been married for 48 years, and are members of the RiverWalk Church of Christ.

McAdam
Biography:
Phyllis has a background in Educational Administration in Northern Ireland where she worked in accounting and finance for 10 years before moving to Montreal, Quebec and then to Wichita. She has qualifications in Business Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Administration and Legal Studies from the University of Ulster, Belfast, Northern Ireland. She and her husband, William, have four children whom they homeschool. The McAdams attend Northside Bible Chapel.

Rebecca is a business owner, homeschool mother of three children, and has been for married 15 years. She has fallen in love with history since she began homeschooling. She believes history can be fun and interactive.

Biography:
Darla is the wife to Jason and the mom of five blessings. These two positions take up most of her time but she also loves teaching science, gardening, cooking, and reading. She also enjoys encouraging families in their homeschool endeavors. She has a Bachelor of General Science from Wichita State with emphases in biology, history and psychology. Their family attends church at Calvary Family.

Biography:
Kathy has a B.S. in Psychology from Kansas State University and Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of Dayton. She has worked previously in Family Counseling as well as full-time Youth Ministry. Since marriage, Kathy has been actively involved in teaching high school Bible Studies for young and adult women. She has been married to Jeff since 1991 and has four children. Kathy has been involved with various ministries through her church, Heartland Community Church.
Silvia
Petit
Biography:
Silvia is a native Spanish speaker who was born in Guatemala and lived in Mexico for 5 years. Silvia has traveled to El Salvador, Peru and Spain. She came to the U.S. in 2000 to work at Salem Evangelical Free Church in Staten Island, New York. Silvia married Greg in 2003 and the family moved to Wichita in 2007. They have two children, both of whom she homeschools. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from The Central American Theological Seminary. She has been tutoring/teaching Spanish to individuals and/or groups of all ages in Wichita since 2010.

Biography:
Angie is married to Casey and mom to five. Her family enjoys the outdoors and playing together. She has enjoyed being home with her children for the past nine years. Before that she used her degree in Elementary Education teaching in the classroom. Angie's hearts desire is to serve moms and children who need a little extra help.
Pam
Rivera
Biography:
After earning a science degree in psychology, Pam felt the Lord calling her to work with children and furthered her education with a degree in elementary education. She had the privilege of working for Wichita Public Schools for 7 years before she was able to stay home with her two-year-old son. She ran an in-home daycare, continuing to work with children, until she began homeschooling full time. Pam now has a 6th grader, Jace; a 2nd grader, Jordan; and a kindergartener, Jodee. She feels incredibly honored to work with children through CHFM and to partner with parents whose hearts are also for their little children, rewards from our Father. Pam's family enjoys bike riding, cooking and baking, and generally just playing together. Pam feels that every day she grows deeper with the Lord as every day she sees just how much she needs Him in her journey as wife, mother and teacher.

Jan holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Kansas State University. She worked as a research scientist from 1994-1998 before staying at home and homeschooling her children. Jan also teaches third grade Sunday School class and is a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. She is married to Marshall and has three children.

Biography:
Melissa has a B.S. in Psychology from Friends University and a M.A. in Leadership from Azusa Pacific University. the daughter of an excellent educatory, she learned early on that every student learns differently, and that a positive outlook makes a huge difference on educational success. Desiring to pass on a love of learning and a positive, "can-do" attitude. Melissa enjoys working with CHFM families, teaching a variety of courses. She and her husband Brian, a realtor, have two kids who bring much laughter and keep them on their toes. The Scapa family attends Central Christian Church, where Melissa is co-leader of Glory Babies, a ministry that walks with women through the journey of miscarriage and stillbirth.

Biography:
Diane received her BS degree in Elementary Education in 2008 from Pittsburg State University. She has had experience with substituting in various elementary classrooms as well as working for two and a half years in a daycare. This will be her first year teaching Creative Writing for CHFM. Shortly after graduating, she got married to her best friend, Jonathan. This year they will be celebrating four happy years of marriage. After getting married, they moved to Davenport, Iowa followed by Waterloo, Iowa six months later. They lived there for two and a half years before moving back to Wichita in September of 2011. Since moving to Wichita, Johnathan and Diane welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby boy named Joel, in March of 2012.

Heather graduated from Augusta High School in 1992 and graduated from Wichita State University in 1996 with a Major in Spanish. She has been on several short term, overseas missions trips (Mexico, Paraguay, England and New Orleans during Mardi Gras 6 times) and loves "working" for the Lord. She has ALWAYS wanted to be a wife and a mommy and married her best friend in June of 1995. Her husband, Shelby, also has a Spanish Major and a Business Minor. God is so good all the time and has blessed their marriage with 8 wonderful gifts – Ellis, Mason, Merritt, Olivia, Paisley, Remington, Scarlett, and Truman. Something was stirring inside when her oldest was 4 and she decided that homeschooling would be the best for them. Everyday is an adventure and is certainly never boring - but she wouldn't want it any other way.

Susan holds a BS in mathematics from Friends University. Susan has taught all high school level math through advanced placement calculus. She is married to Kevin and is the mother of three children whom she homeschools. The family attends Cornerstone Christian Church.

Wheeler
Biography:
Tina received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Friends University. She has had the benefit of teaching all ages and grade levels. Most of her career was in the Wichita public school system. In addition to teaching her three sons, Tina has taught water classes at the YMCA for 12 years. Besides teaching, she enjoys swimming, singing and traveling. The Wheeler family attends Metro East Baptist Church.
Kimberly
Whiteside
Biography:
Kimberly Whiteside has an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Butler Community College. She home schooled her two oldest children for two years. She is currently working as a substitute teacher for the Andover School District and has tutored Biology, Algebra, Algebra II, and Geometry. In addition, Kimberly has traveled throughout Southern India, with the India Gospel League, teaching bible classes at various women’s conferences. Kimberly and her husband Mel have been married 20 years and have 4 children. They attend Hope Community Church and are active in ministry there.
